    Yes, Protein is for muscle-building blocks. But the muscle-building blocks will never work if you don't eat carbs because carbs are responsible for activating protein synthesis. If you eat low carbs, You are deactivating the protein synthesis. Deactivating protein synthesis prevents muscle recovery and growth. So, you need to eat more carbohydrates.

    This is the thing because you see yourself in the mirror and just in everyday activitys its such a slow rate of growth you kind of adapt to seeing yourself that way so dont actually notice it so much (obviously not including when you start training and growth is more rapid and noticeable) sometimes i have people notice it and mention it more than i actually notice myself

    Grain starches have been found on Neanderthal teeth. Grains have been eaten since paleolithic times, and were staples of many stone age groups. Most vegetables we have today are nothing like existed in paleolithic times. Look up wild lettuce, or Brassica Oleracea the original plant from which we get broccoli cabbage, etc.

    I lose weight much faster than gaining weight. My appetite is just so low even if I see delicious food. I am 49.85kg and 5"6 as of now, and I have been underweight for years

      it’s expensive a little bit but if you can afford it buy some mass gainer bodybuilding warehouse are selling a 5kg tub atm and if you use code SAVE40 you can get 10kg for 42 GBP get vanilla mix 4 scoops (2 servings) in blender with 3-4 bananas bit of milk and maybe ice cream and you got yourself 2200 calories from one shake then all you have to do is get those last 1000 calories which is surprisingly easy. if you can’t afford protein powder just have banana shakes with yoghurt and milk and eat oats or eggs for the quick protein and the calories add up if you eat it consistently just track your calories it helps you find where you go wrong

      You may have misunderstood the question. Technically no they aren’t. They don’t build muscles / carbs either get stored as fat or converted to energy. That energy could absolutely help to work out (but like he says for some people they could utilise fat)

    No the keto diet is not based on eating very high protein. It's based on eating high fats and moderate to little protein. Nice try though

    51yo, 6'4, 155lbs, I ways have had a hard time with weight gain which causes self esteem issues. Tired of being slender, being asked, "Have you lost more weight? Eat another sandwich!" I wanna gain weight and put on mass.

    How long g does it take for your body to return to ketosis? I'm nearly a month in and I do feel a lot better. I'm losing g weight. No plans to "cheat" anytime soon or at least until I've met my weight goal, but I have my wishlist of foods ready for my first cheat day. Best believe

    Awesome video! Thank you for covering these topics. As someone who has been prediabetic for the past 30 years after becoming gestational diabetic during my 2 pregnancies, and being 100 lbs overweight, I am not eligible for my insurance to cover these GLP-1 drugs. Anthem Blue Cross requires you to be a type 2 diabetic. They won't cover it for weight loss but I can tell you that prediabetes is diabetes and if prediabetics could have the same access to these drugs as type 2 diabetics it would stop them from becoming type 2 diabetics. Its such a broken system. I've tried eat less, workout more and it doesn't work that way for everyone with insulin resistance and metabolic damage. I was fine before I got pregnant, I became gluten sensitive, and prediabetic and its been an uphill battle for the past 30 years. I've been Carnivore for the past year and Keto before that but its still been really difficult. Just putting it out there. I don't think I am alone. Thanks again.

    The body is capable of making its own carbohydrates (sugar/glucose) "fuel" whatever you want to call it by a process called "Gluconegenesis" look it up! You don't need to eat carbs at all but if eating them aren't causing you any problems then no point giving them up, but all you really to build muscle is sufficient protein and fats, train hard and always try to do better the next day (safely!) Get good quality sleep and most importantly stay hydrated! For me personally carbohydrates ( anything more than 100 grams a day) do me no favors and just make me gain fat so i just focus on getting sufficient protein and fat and keeping carbs to a minimum and i seem to be doing something right and don't suffer from low energy in fact quite the opposite i have more energy when i keep my carb intake low and feel much better overall!

    Eat 3 loaves of your favorite bread throughout the day. One bowl of your favorite cereal with whole milk.... and 2 20 Oz Garden of Life organic chocolate protein shakes with whole milk in them. Snacking on dry Bread really really helps!!!
